Have a vibrant weekend!
Spanish sunshine and style, gorgeous baskets, Diptyque drops a lip oil, red lips forever, and more.
Hellooo, happy Friday–I hope you’ve had a good week! A big welcome to all those who have joined us over the last few days, I’m thrilled you’re here. And if you’ve yet to sign up, do jump in and enjoy a That’s beautiful! summer, with lovely, likeminded friends!
Are we in basket weather now? I feel like we are—just—and I’ve had my eye on some embroidered ones on my weekly trips to the local garden centre with my dad. It’s becoming an expensive business—a stripey, frilly cushion here, a summery table runner there—but his running commentary of the store’s newest offerings, en route to the café, is the best part. Think Jack Whitehall’s Travels With My Father, but in a (very) English garden centre where the price tags on hardcore BBQ sets, acacia steamer chairs et al illicit his unrestrained, very audible judgement.
Also, not at our local garden centre, look at this beauty, which I spied at Daylesford’s online store.
Oh no, they’ve added more to the range since I last looked.
Browse at your own risk and *desperately tries to not say something about adding to basket but can’t*.
In beauty news from the week, Diptyque devotees who love a lip oil, too, need to cover their eyes at this point. The company has just unveiled The Summer Fruit Garden collection, which includes bath and body products shampoo, and a Diptyque x Susanne Kaufmannn Lip Oil, created in collaboration with the Austrian natural beauty entrepreneur.
Brace yourself for all the citrus-scented prettiness.
Meanwhile, Glossier is launching a range of body mists later this month, including one called, deliciously, Orange Blossom Neroli (not yet on the website, keep your eyes citrus-peeled).
And speaking of big reveals, congrats to on her upcoming book, based on her beautiful Substack, . I pre-ordered in under a minute.
“It’s about unleashing individuality and confidence and originality and creativity and JOY, whether you live in town or country, in a rented room or in a big house. It’s about finding your own unique vibe, stopping striving for so-called ‘perfection’ (ugh) and embracing REAL LIFE, wonkiness and burn marks on the worktop included.”

Remember Spanish model (famously, for Lancome) and actress Ines Sastre?
At a radiant 51, how amazing does Ines look in these ads for Seville-based fashion company, Rocio Peralta? And how much does it make you want to pull your hair into a bun, wear a really great hat and statement earrings??

Also, my friend, Seville-based writer and journalist , has the most AMAZING Instagram page, which is full of colourful, sun-soaked reports of local ferias and festivals, off-the-beaten-track places to visit (if only virtually), art exhibitions and more. SO beautiful.
And on all things bright and summer-beautiful, how fab is this Dolce & Gabbana beauty pop-up, currently bringing a dose of southern Italian sunshine to cities across Europe?
