Good Thursday evening, all!

How’s your week been? I’m already very excited for The Weekend Edit this Saturday—it’s shaping up to be an extra bright, colourful edition packed with news to celebrate the start of SPRING! But tonight, a quick review of a new highlighting liquid—plus another, drug store glow-getter I think is hugely impressive for the price.

As always, weekday posts like this one (at least one a week) go out in full to paid subscribers, along with The Weekend Edit, each Saturday (the first edition of the month is free for all to read).

For less than £1 a week, jump in or upgrade to a paid subscription (good for monthly or annual plans), unlock everything, and never miss all the midlife beauty, style and wellness news over the coming months!

Radiance, bottled

For an instantly lit-up look, à la French model and Chanel ambassador Caroline de Maigret, pictured above, a gentle illuminator is your friend. Nothing too sparkly, and definitely not glittery. The right highlighter will almost go unnoticed, playing tricks with the light on midlife skin, on the high points of the face, like the tops of cheekbones (higher than your blush), and along the brow bones.

This week, I’ve been using Urban Decay’s new *Face Bond Luminizer Waterproof Glow Drops for Face + Body, billed as an all-day, waterproof liquid illuminator that gives a “soft focus glow”. Read on for my verdict, along with another, great new drug store highlighter—PLUS tips on making the most of ANY highlighter (including one you might already have, tucked away–shop your own make up stash!).
